The management at Coriant announced former Verizon veteran, Shaygan Kharadpir, would take position as the new CEO and board chairman of Coriant on October 5, 2015. The technological genius takes the place of Pat Dipietro, who also joined the companies chair, working closely with the new CEO. Shaygan spent time working closely with the team behind Coriant earlier in the year as well as holding the position of operating partner with Coriant’s parent company at Marlin Equity Partners.
The telecom expert with nearly 30 years of experience, was working as CEO of Juniper before his new position at Coriant. Just arriving at Juniper in January of 2015, coming from Barclays, his time at the firm was brief. Shaygan addresses advancements in cloud technology and services in the industry, explaining what it means for service providers and businesses. Shaygan was a leading executive at Verizon and GTE before getting to work at Barclays. His newest challenge will be to take Coriant to higher levels, against many strong competitors in the industry.
As a somewhat young firm, Coriant has already managed to take charge in the industry as a leading in networking and technology. Coriant is an optical vender, offering hardware as well as software for optical transmissions and networks on an international scale. The company dos business with a large number of clients around the world, including utility firms, mobile service providers, and even government organizations. Simply put, optical communication is meant to streamline the process, while also reducing the cost to provide more options for communication to clients.
Coriant was founded after separating from Nokia Siemens Network, in 2013. With headquarters in the United States and Germany, Coriant has already assembled a team of nearly 3000 employees doing business in over 100 countries around the globe. The company’s quick success is owed to the hard working management and professionals backing up the firm. That’s why Coriant decided to follow up on that success by appointing the highly qualified Shaygan Kheradpir as CEO.
Shaygan’s most impressive ability is to create adaptable networks for operators. He knows he can bring new innovation to Coriant to increase the company’s traffic and data growth. With the technology industry moving at a faster pace than ever, Shaygan believes his skills coupled with the dedicated staff at Coriant can take the firm to it’s highest level yet.
