Hussain Sajwani graduated from the University of Washington and immediately started his career at GASCO where he worked as a manager. He left GASCO which was a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi National Oil and ventured into catering in 1982. Hussain Sajwani established several hotels in Emirates to accommodate a large number of people who were heading to the UAE to do business. He later in 2002 started DAMAC properties to cater for housing need in the Middle East. Hussain has a vast knowledge in property development; he is experienced in sales, marketing, finance, administration and legal issues.
DAMAC property is associated with stylish and lavish property developments. The company was trusted to construct a glamorous golf course with Trump, and they did a great job, the golf course was opened in February 2017. DAMAC Properties has completed over 44, 000 units across the Middle East and more are still under construction in various countries.
Hussain Sajwani and Donald Trump have a close relationship. The two are business partners who have worked together for a long time. DAMAC property constructed the prestigious Trump International Golf Course funded by Mr. Trump. Trump and Sajwani have similar business interest, and they work to expand their business empires as well as protect their investment. Hussain Sajwani said that his wife and Ivanka are friends and they even send each other email. Trump in his new year’s speech described Hussain Sajwani family as most beautiful people. Sajwani said that Trump’s interest in business wouldn’t be affected by his new responsibilities as a president; he will have to delegate some business responsibilities to his family members.
Hussain Sajwani, the chairman of DAMAC properties, contributed AED two million to cater for clothing of less fortunate children around the world. The contribution by DAMAC owner is enough to provide clothing to over 50, 000 who are in need.
