The QI Group owns a diverse range of businesses throughout the world and has regional offices in Singapore, Malaysia, and the UAE. The QI Group of Companies has five business brands spread across telecommunications, lifestyle, luxury & collectibles, training and conference management, and international retail & direct sales business.
QI began in 1998 with direct sales retail outlets throughout Asia; distributing lifestyle products to its online customers. Today, the brand distributes exclusive products ranging from nutrition, personal & home care, and energy products.
The group plans on expanding the Malaysia University into a magnificent QI City that includes a permanent residential block on campus, a teaching hospital for the medical program, a shopping complex, an internal student hostel block, and a park. Vijay describes his leadership style as that of a hands-free nature because he believes employees must own up their performance and excel in customer satisfaction, above everything else.
Vijay firmly believes in the philosophy of Service above Self, passed on to him by his father. It is a lesson that resonates with all IQ team members, as he likes to refer to them. Though QI is a global company, Vijay believes that it is fundamental to remain always grounded with the soul of a small business so as not to forget his humble beginnings. He also affirms that businesses do not succeed, but rather, it is the people in them that succeed. The QI Group’s success story lies in the firm foundation of finding employees with the right mindset and the right attitude.
